ROYCE 5’9 drops his much anticipated album ALLEGORY, a 22 track album, featuring the likes of T.I., CyHi the Prynce, Sy Ari da Kid, White Gold, DJ Premier, Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, Benny the Butcher, G Perico and Vince Staples, which is available now on all streaming and downloadable platforms. You can find them all here.
Also on the album, but not listed in the credits, is longtime friend and Bad meets Evil collaborator Eminem, who drops a 2 minute rant on a skit about how black music has been historically coopted by white artists over the years, but how in current times, black kids grow up listening to white artists and white kids grow up listening to black artists.
After the amazing work he put in with Slaughterhouse (still mad their last album never come out!) his ground breaking Book of Ryan album, his PRyhme collabo with DJ Premier and now this, I am ready to cop any project Royce drops or is on from now ’til infinity. With his steady 20+ year grind, creating good music, remaining lyrical in a dumbed down universe and still managing to maintain relevance 5’9 is definitely leading the youth out of the cave and into the sun. The question is, will they follow, or hate on anything that threatens their way of life?
