F.T. – “Metal Thangz II” (Nature & Fat Joe) vs “Metal Thangz” (OC & Pharoah Monch)

FT from Street Smartz came out with Metal Thangz in 1996.  We cherished that joint for years, both for O.C.‘s and Pharoahe Monch’s collabo and for the promising newer artist FT, who’s bars were crazy, plus he had a co-sign from two already established giants. I still have the vinyl. All 3 verses on the original could get a hip hop quotable, in my opinion.

I don’t know about the new one yet, I just listened to it once and now I’m throwing it up here. I’ll let you all decide.

First up we got Nature & Fat Joe’s version. This is off FT’s newest mixtape “The BROOKLYN BEAST”

The BROOKLYN BEAST is available on iTunes. It has some bangers on there, featuring M.O.P, Eastsidaz, Buckshot, Sean Price, Swan, Kokane, Lil Cease, Tash (Alkaholiks), Organized Konfusion, El Da Sensei, Obie Trice, Shabaam Sahdeeq and more. The mixtape has some old classic joints some new stuff, and FT tears it down on all of them.
