Called “One of the most relevant books of The Bible especially in a world where faith is a lost art,” the Book of Job is a web series based off of the book in a modern day interpretation, written by and co-starring the Bad Seed -aka- @NiggalisCage -aka- Corey Pierson -aka- – well that’s enough “aka’s” for now. Co-staring MIMS and directed by Corey Pierson and Arlene Brathwaite (Brathwaite publishing). Justin Dinkins plays the unfortunate Job, who has to go through trials and tribulations to prove his worthiness.
Episode 1 set the scene, painting a picture of a rapper on the come up, dealing with relationship issues, trying to become successful with his music so that he can support his family. In the background, God and the Devil are playing dice for his soul. God (played by MIMS) challenges the Devil to try his best to corrupt Job, by throwing obstacles in his path, to try to get him to forsake him and to go to the dark side. As the Devil, Corey Pierson has a good time attempting that, causing him to lose his woman, his unborn child and his record deal, but so far, that did not get Job to sway from his faith and he continued to praise the lord and ask for guidance.
Now, in Episode 2, “Lou Siffer”, masquerading as Job’s A&R (nice touch, the A&R is the Devil), is about to “turn it up a notch … just a notch!” If you missed the first episode, click on it below.
